Security Camera DVR

Are you looking for a security camera DVR for your security camera system.  DVR stands for digital video recorder.  They generally come in 4 channel, 8 channel and 16 channel.  The channel is how many cameras can be installed onto that particular security camera DVR.  So a 4 channel DVR can have from 1 to 4 cameras installed on it.  An analog DVR takes the analog signal from your CCTV security cameras and converts them to digital.  It then records the data onto a hard drive.  Newer and higher end systems use the h.264 compression technology.  Older systems used Mpeg4 and Mjpeg.  Most units have a network jack on the back.  This allows you to plug the DVR into your network.  Once plugged into your network and with a bit of programming your cameras can then be viewed on your computers.  If you have a wireless router you can even view your cameras on your smart phone or tablet.  The router can also be configured so that you can view the cameras remotely over the internet while you are away from your premises.  A good recommendation is always get a DVR that is a little bigger than you need so there is room for expansion if you ever want to get more cameras.  All of our systems have easy to use interfaces so that you can easily review recorded footage or events.  Our systems have different ways for you to record whether it be by schedule, alarm or motion detection.  Motion detection is the one used most often.  That way if motion is detected the DVR will record that motion event.  This makes it easy to find events that have taken place if there was an incident.
